Es común que nos encontremos en situaciones donde sabemos que quedarse en ese sitio o arreglo en particular no es bueno para nosotros. A veces, nos aguantamos por la necesidad de cumplir con normas sociales de ese contexto o por alguna necesidad económica, pero los valores culturales que nos hacen personas nobles deben ser la regla para la toma de decisiones.
Nuestra herencia nos enseña que debemos participar de modo civilizado y dentro de ese marco tenemos la voz y las herramientas para, con respeto, rechazar lo que no es beneficioso para nuestra salud física y emocional.
Los japoneses tienen un sistema de toma de decisiones llamado IKIGAI donde se busca un balance entre lo que nos apasiona, nuestra misión, nuestra vocación y el trabajo que desempeñamos como profesión. Todas esas partes tienen que estar equitativamente repartidas para que el individuo encuentre el balance que lo hará vivir en salud física y emocional. Si sabemos bien cuáles son los valores dignos de nuestra cultura ya tenemos la actitud decente, las buenas palabras y la seguridad de poder decir “gracias, pero esto no es para mí, ando en otra línea como proyecto de vida”.
Puede que la otra parte inicialmente se sienta ofendida porque nos salimos de la zona donde nos querían tener controlados, pero la mejor decisión es liberarnos y hacer mejor uso de nuestro tiempo. Nuestro tiempo no se puede reemplazar por nada, nuestros valores no son negociables y nadie tiene el derecho de frenar nuestro progreso.
En la Filantropía de Cultura tenemos la seguridad de que, pase lo que pase, siempre vamos a encontrar soluciones que nos llenen el alma de fuerzas para emprender nuevamente aunque el camino parezca difícil desde ese punto donde nos encontramos. Todo lo material es circunstancial, lo cultural es permanente y nos permite vivir una vida plena en total balance.

Your cultural values are the key to the decision-making process
It is common to find ourselves in a position where we know that if we stay in that particular place or arrangement the results will be harming to us. Sometimes, we endure the situation based on the commitment “to be nice” or due to some economic need; our cultural values that make us kind people should be our rule of thumb for decision making. Our heritage teaches us that we must participate in a civilized manner and, within that framework, we have the voice and the tools to respectfully reject what is not beneficial to our physical and emotional health.
In the Japanese culture there is a decision-making system called IKIGAI where a balance is sought between what we are passionate about, our mission, our vocation, and the work we perform as a profession. All such parts have to be equally distributed, so that individuals finds the balance that will make them live in physical and emotional health. If we know well what are the true values of our culture, we already count with a decent attitude, good words, and the assurance of being able to say “thank you, but this is not for me, I am in another line as my life project”.
The other party may initially feel offended because we left the area where they wanted to have us controlled, but the best decision is to free ourselves and make better use of our time. Our time can not be replaced by anything, our values are not negotiable, and nobody has the right to stop our progress. In Culture Philanthropy we have the assurance that, whatever happens. We will always find solutions that will fulfill our souls with the strength to try again, even if the path seems difficult from that perspective we have at the moment. Everything material is circumstantial, culture is permanent and allows us to live a full life in total balance.
